Motivation
I have been slacking.
I love this quote. This is one of the principles in life that really define who you are and what you will become. After coming home from my first year of college I was in pretty bad shape; physically and mentally. I had gained 13 lbs. In my head I felt like a beached whale. I had spent the whole winter semester wishing that I could be back in shape like I was in the Fall. When I finally came home I knew that if I was going to get what I wished for I was going to have to work hard. So I did. Honestly, I think this is one of the reasons why I like exercise so much.
Work is the most rewarding principle. This last year I have learned so much about work and faith. This is a deadly combination. Through hard work and the strength of the Lord I have learned that I can literally do anything, no matter how hard it is.
So my purpose in writing this entry was to ponder on these quotes and get myself motivated to get back into my exercise habits and back into shape. I believe that it has been successful.
My advice to you today is to put your trust in your older brother and work hard. Don't be afraid of pain. Let it teach you. Allow the cleansing to happen. I promise it is worth it.
First, in my recording of my healthy thoughts.
Second, in my actual exercising.
Exercise becomes harder when you are busy, but not impossible. Since I was so busy this last semester my exercise habits declined. Thankfully I was able to exercise some, but not as much as usual.
For my 2 areas of slacking I have 2 quotes for you.
"Don't just wish for it, work for it."

But pain...Seems to me an insufficient reason not to embrace life. Being dead is quite painless. Pain, like time, is going to come on regardless. Question is, what glorious moments can you win from life in addition to the pain. - Lois McMaster BujoldOh pain. It motivates me and scares me at the same time. I know that most things that are worthwhile are achieved through some type of pain. It is inevitable to encounter pain in this life and I am thankful. Many times in my life, when I have felt the closest to my Father in Heaven and especially my Savior have been times when I am feeling pain. Through pain there seems to come a sense of cleansing. If you turn your thoughts to the Savior in times of pain I promise you will learn new and amazing things. I think this is another huge reason I like exercise so much too.
